BRUNO-EUGÈNE BORIE

Owner & President, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Bruno-Eugène Borie is the owner and President of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, one of Bordeaux's most revered estates and a Second Growth in the historic 1855 Classification. A member of one of the Médoc's most distinguished wine families, he represents the third generation of the Borie family to steward the property, which was acquired by his grandfather, Francis Borie, in 1941 and has remained under family ownership ever since.

Since assuming leadership in 2003, Bruno has transformed Ducru-Beaucaillou into one of the benchmark estates of Bordeaux through rigorous vineyard selection, significant investments in viticulture and winemaking, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Under his direction, the estate has earned worldwide recognition for wines that combine power, precision, elegance, and exceptional longevity.

A visionary both in the vineyard and beyond, Bruno recently completed an ambitious new state-of-the-art winery and cellar complex at Ducru-Beaucaillou, designed to further elevate precision, parcel selection, and sustainability for future generations. The new 8,000-square-meter facility represents one of the most significant investments in the estate's history and underscores his long-term commitment to excellence.

In addition to the Grand Vin of Ducru-Beaucaillou, Bruno oversees a distinguished family of wines that includes La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou, Le Petit Ducru, and Madame de Beaucaillou, a Haut-Médoc wine he created as a tribute to his mother, Monique Borie. Produced from family vineyards in the Haut-Médoc, Madame de Beaucaillou reflects both the Borie family's heritage and Bruno's deep appreciation for family, history, and place.

Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, passion for art and gastronomy, and deep respect for Bordeaux's cultural heritage, Bruno has become one of the region's most influential and admired wine leaders. His vision seamlessly balances tradition and innovation, ensuring that Ducru-Beaucaillou remains among the world's great wine estates while continuing to evolve for the future.
